August: Liz Cutler, Katherine Churchill, Patricia Noble

Bear Island Lighthouse, Katie Churchill, 2019

4.3.2.1… A colorful and evocative art show at Northeast Harbor Library during the month of August. FOUR media including paint, glass, ink and fiber. THREE local artists: Liz Cutler, Patricia Noble and Katherine Noble Churchill. View from the mountains TWO the seas!   All are welcome to the opening reception Thursday, August ONE, 5-7pm!

Liz Cutler, the founder of ArtWaves, MDI’s community art center in Town Hill, is currently working on her MFA and will have multiple media on display including many local plein air landscape oil paintings. Her mosaic glass, inked plant prints and wool fiber creations are wonderful examples from classes she regularly teaches at ArtWaves.

Patricia Noble, a year-round resident of Lamoine, Maine, past member of the Miniature Society of Florida and current member of Cider Painters of America will be showing her highly detailed miniature oil paintings.

Katherine Noble Churchill of Bar Harbor will have larger colorful new oil paintings on display including local lobster boats, Bear Island Lighthouse and coneflowers from the Butterfly Garden.   She will also be showing some of her small contemporary paintings with broader brush strokes when compared to her mother’s miniature paintings.
