Job Opening: Development Coordinator

The Northeast Harbor Library seeks a full time (30 hours) Development Coordinator to manage the library’s fundraising and development activities. The Development Coordinator works in collaboration with the Library Director and the library board on development strategy, and oversees day to day development work. This is a 30 hour per week position with full benefits, including health insurance, retirement and paid leave.

Duties

  • Manage the spring and fall operating annual appeal
  • Maintain fundraising database including thank you letter and constituent files
  • Serve as administrative support to the library’s Scholarship Program
  • Manage the Scholarship Program annual appeal
  • Track scholarship records and student application files
  • Plan and assist with fundraising and outreach events as needed
  • Collaborate with library director and board development committee on fundraising strategy
  • Prepare donor and financial reports
  • Maintain print and digital files for fundraising, vendors, and financials
  • Prepare weekly deposits for the bookkeeper
  • Attend library board meetings and take minutes
  • Support adult programming events on occasion if needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This is a 30 hour per week position with benefits, including health insurance and retirement. Most work to be accomplished at the Northeast Harbor Library. The weekly schedule is somewhat flexible, but occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications:

The Development Coordinator is an at-will position operating under the direction of the Library Director. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and mail merge is important. Experience with Blackbaud fundraising software and prior experience working for a non-profit are desired. The Development Coordinator must have the ability to work independently, to meet deadlines and to perform multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
