The artwork of Liz Cutler, Carrie Eason, Janet Elvidge, Jean Forbes, and Linda Rowell Kelley will be featured at the Northeast Harbor Library from July 2nd through July 31st. Their show, “Island Impressions”, will feature recent work by the artists.
Liz Cutler, founder and an instructor at ArtWaves MDI in Town Hill, works to place an area of contrast and tension in each of her pieces. Cutler strives to keep her work free from clutter, maintaining the simplistic beauty of the moment.

Janet Elvidge grew up on MDI. Elvidge is the Associate Dean of Library Services at EMCC Library. Her work in acrylic, photography and watercolor express her love for the plant life, mountains and waterways that characterize this beautiful island.
Jean Forbes is a retired art teacher living in Manset. Forbes’s work is greatly influenced by her local surrounding and she enjoys capturing the light, colors and moods of the day in her landscapes and seascapes.
Linda Rowell Kelley developed her vision and passion for art early in life, studying sculpture, painting and graphics at the Portland School of Art (now MECA). She lives and works in Hulls Cove.
An opening reception will be held at Northeast Harbor Library, 1 Joy Rd., Northeast Harbor, Thursday July 5th from 5-7pm in the Mellon Room. The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
