NONFIC: The Library, A Catalogue of Wonders, by Stuart Kells

August: NonFiction Pick

Stuart Kells in an authority on rare books, something of a book-trade historian.  This entertaining book is sort of like gossip about libraries and books, from ancient times to the present.  It tells tales of of librarians, of collections lost, of thefts and forgeries, of fires and dispersal, of bibliophiles. Not exactly a history, more anecdotal than that, it’s all interesting and a celebration of books.
