There is a copy machine for public use at the circulation desk on the first floor. Copies are $.25 per piece of paper. The library’s public access computers can print either color or black and white documents for $.25 per piece of paper. The librarians can print for you at the same cost; email them to printthis@nehlibrary.org. The copy machine can scan and email documents for you at no cost. Sorry, no faxing.
3-D Printing
3D printing turns digital models into physical forms; our printer uses a process called fused filament fabrication, where plastic filament is extruded in thin layers to build an object. The filament we use is PLA (polyactic acid), which is light-weight, durable, and biodegradable (made from cassava and sugarcane!) The library was kindly gifted a Creality K2-SE 3-D printer by Story Wibby.
To have something 3D printed, email your file as a .stl, .obj or .amf to the library or a pre-sliced g-code file. Email your files to printthis@nehlibrary.org with “3D Print” in the subject line. The library can do single color PLA printing; color is determined by our current stock of PLA. The maximum dimensions are 220 x 220 x 250 mm (8.66w x 8.66d x 9.84h inches). All print jobs must take less than 7 hours to complete. Library staff will email you to confirm when your item is printed. The cost is $1 minimum and an additional $.20/gram of filament used. Payment is due at pickup.
