This March the Northeast Harbor Library, in partnership with the Southwest Harbor, Jesup, and Bass Harbor libraries, will exhibit artwork from local women celebrating Women’s History Month.
This year’s theme is “Inspired by the Written Word of Maine Women.” Artists were asked to consider phrases of prose or poetry, fiction or nonfiction, published or unpublished by Maine’s women. We have over twenty artists committed to exhibiting work in this year’s show; this exhibit is a “living exhibit,” we will continue to accept new work throughout the month of March, space allowing. This show celebrates local women and talent.
If you would like to contribute a piece to be exhibited, please contact Kate Young at 207 276 3333 or kyoung@nehlibrary.org. The exhibit is available for viewing the entire month of March, however the room is occasionally booked for private functions. To be sure to see the exhibit, feel free to call ahead and check availability at 207 276 3333.
