Meet with a trained AARP volunteer for free tax preparation. Assistance is available for all ages and most tax situations, prioritizing low/moderate income households. One-hour appointment slots start at 9:15 am and end at 3:15 pm.

If you are confirmed for an appointment, please come prepared with the following: picture ID (ex. driver's license); social security card; all tax documents, such as W2s, 1098s, 1099s, brokerage statements, and ACA (aka Obamacare) paperwork (as applicable); last year's tax return; town property tax bill and/or rental information (as applicable), Form SSA-1099 (for Social Security recipients); any other documents you may think are relevant.

The AARP Tax-Aide program partners with Northeast Harbor Library, Jesup Memorial Library, and Southwest Harbor Public Library. If our available dates and times are not accessible, please consider contacting another partnering library for information on tax help at their location.
